April 6, 2005 [editor's note: the following are the last three posts that Rich and Heidi made before arriving back in the states] THE BABY IS OURS! As of this afternoon, all the paperwork has been completed and she is now officially ours. We have her visa in hand, and we are all set to come home. USA here we come! Heidi We wanted to let you know that our direct flight out of Tokyo has not gone through, and so we will be connecting through LA. Bummer! This means that we will be arriving into Atlanta at the original time that is on our itinerary we gave you (around 7:00?). If for some reason it changes, we will contact you from Tokyo. Thanks and see ya soon. :-) Love, Rich and Heidi It's 4:30am, and we are packed and ready to go. Breakfast is at 5:45, and the bus is leaving at 6:15 for the airport. Leah spent much of the night in fits of coughing. She has probably caught Eden's cold. This is not the greatest of times to have a cold. Lynn checked on the direct flight out of Tokyo, and apparently there are 9 seats still available in business class, but we still have not been cleared off the wait list. I guess it'll get figured out in Tokyo. Say a little prayer for group 106 that we all make it home safe and sound. See ya in the USA (and hopefully at 3 instead of 7)!!!
