"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."--Psalm 139:14
Back in my days as a Youth Pastor, this was my all time favorite verse to teach teenagers. I loved being the carrier of such an important message. I look at the blessing of two daughters, who could not look more opposite, but who will each mark the world in their own way and time, and I am thankful. I know Rob is too. In our last conversation, he said just that, not in these words, but I understood.
The communicae has become less frequent, the pictures are fewer--the journey to Hannah is winding down. From Rob's most recent email, it seems that Hannah is feeling better. Others travelling with them have indicated that many are taking it easy and beginning to prepare for the long ride home.
The hotel is very large, and I know they have ventured out to see the different points of interest, but I have no idea what that may have included...Rob mentioned carvings and elephant tusks; guess you had to be there! The group is spread apart further now, and some have expressed how they are missing the intimacy of being together. However, the down time is essential to the bonding process, and I'm sure the calm is helping all of the babies feel safe and a sense of normalcy.
Emily spent the day waving palms (and poking anyone who got in her way in the eye), dying Easter eggs, and yes, she lost her third tooth. We had a wonderful surprise this evening when Jim's wife, Gerri and friends Lorraine and Samantha stopped for a visit. We sat for a chat and it was great! They brought a gift for Hannah, the prettiest pink stroller... and I love it!
Tony Campolo wrote a book titled "It's Friday, but Sunday is Coming" -- well, in this house, "It's Sunday, but Wednesday is Coming!"Goodnight,
