"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."--Proverbs 27:17

First of all, Hannah is ten months old today! Happy birthday, little girl.

The phone rang at 1:30 AM (yes, this morning), usually a bad sign. It was Rob, but no panic, no worries. There is a form missing, he is told. He calls me. Not possible, we both agree--that red binder was so organized, could not have overlooked a thing, and Rob was downright calm, as was I. Call the agency and sure enough, what they needed had already been handled. It sounds like he is getting the hang of this. It is nice to hear the stories of parents learning together, bonding with their babies, bonding with one another. All part of the process...I, for one, am thankful for the many wonderful friends he is travelling with. From what I can gather, he and Jim are both pretty smitten with Miss Hannah. I see separation anxiety in our future, not just for the baby!

When adopting babies from China, there is a tradition of taking a picture of the babies on the red couch. I'm not certain when or how the tradition began, but it is customary to see the red couch photo, and today we have some pictures from our group's photo shoot. Smile and wave, girls, smile and wave....

The next step is the "swearing in" at the Consulate, and then they have completed the necessary requirements to bring our children home. We continue to pray for health and rest and patience for all readying to bring that stork in.

Thanks for visiting,
Heather
