"And some have compassion, making a difference."--Jude 22
When I spoke to Rob in the wee hours of the morning, he was concerned--Hannah was still running a fever and had a gunky nose. His words were indicative, "I have to protect her--I won't let anything happen to her." A bonded dad--how amazing that not even 24 hours after he first met our precious girl, his papa bear was in full force. Rob would say that he is not articulate because he says very little; I think what he says usually speaks volumes.
They made the honorary trip to Wal-mart. Now, any of you who have missioned with me, know that Wal-mart, in a strange place, always feels like a familiar friend, not to mention they have everything!! In some pictures, Hannah is wearing pants I have never seen before--I am assuming there is a story to this and can't wait to hear it--my conclusion--either Rob stole them off another baby (not likely), or he actually purchased clothing for her. The big news about this is I have never actually witnessed Rob purchase clothing. See? Lots of firsts this week!
Jim's most recent email says they have the fever under control and that Hannah seemed perkier today. Rob said that Jim has been invaluable--he is a definite calm in Rob's storm. Funny the roles people take, Rob is usually the calm for my storms.
Lots of people are asking for Emily--she is doing well. She is busy these weeks, and though she misses Dad, she is taking it all in and preparing herself. Emily is a child who does things in her own time, gotta love that independent spirit. She loved the webcam call yesterday and was thrilled to see Dad and Hannah and speak with them. We are hoping to Skype again soon and now we have our camera set up also.
I'm sure there will be more later...
Love,
Heather and Emily
