This here folks is FRENCH TOAST! "For his eye is on the sparrow and I know he watches me". This is the song that came to mind this morning at breakfast. This is the best french toast I have ever eaten. I have lost 10 lbs so far on this trip - but I think I will gain it all back in Guangzhou! The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The food is excellent. Especially the french toast and the scalloped potatoes that taste just like my Grandma Belva Cornelius's did. We enjoyed breakfast very much while viewing the Pearl River.

This fountain is in the lobby of our hotel - the White Swan Hotel.

This afternoon we took Jade for her first swim in the hotel pool. There is a beautiful fountain in it. The water is very clean and warm! Fabulous! For those of you coming to the White Swan - don't forget a swim diaper. I forgot to bring one and another family in our group loaned one to us. We hope to spend more time at the pool.

Phil went on a tour with the group to the Chen Academy. Mom, Jade, & I shopped the streets of Guangzhou. Megan chose to stay in the room and do some emailing.

We especially enjoyed Jordan's Place, where we purchased several pairs of "squeaky shoes" for Jade. She loves them because they squeak when she stomps, and although she can not stand by herself we tap the bottom of them, and we get lots of smiles. If anyone needs squeaky shoes, send me an email, and and I'll try to get them for you. We also enjoyed Andy's place where we purchased some special Jade jewelry. We dropped off laundry again. Every store offers laundry service.

Guangzhou is the place to buy "cute" clothing for your little ones. This must be the place everyone is speaking of when they say to buy your clothing in China. We wouldn't have been able to get what we need prior to this - but children's clothing is plentiful here.

Phil ordered us Papa John's for lunch - once again - not SALS, but it will do. (Can anyone tell I miss SALS?).

Does it get any cuter than this?

I am totally bored with these people.

Tonight we are planning to attend a local Festival for the Mid Autumn Moon Festival. There are several kinds of moon cakes available. We haven't tried them yet.

LIFE is GOOD in GUANGZHOU, CHINA!
