After 27 hours of travelling, we have arrived in Beijing at our hotel - The Marriott Beijing West!

Our flight was smooth from Syracuse, NY to Detroit, MI. In Detroit, we boarded the plane for Tokyo, Japan. Soon after the entire plane was boarded, we were told that the plane had mechanical failure, and we would have to change planes. Thankfully, all went smooth and although we left later than scheduled, we arrived in Japan with about 10 minutes to spare to make the next plane. We sailed through customs and made our plane to Beijing. When landing in Beijing, I wondered at what a sense of accomplishment the pilot must feel when landing a plane with 400 + passengers on it safely. I think it must be very much like my thoughts when realizing we are finally at the end of the adoption process. Three years of waiting have finally come to an end, and we will meet Jade on Monday!

The day has been long but we are thankful for the safe trip.

After arriving in Beijing - we experienced a warm welcome in a very beautiful airport. Dillon International in conjunction with Bridge of Love Adoption Services in Beijing had a large, plush, air conditioned coach bus waiting for us! It was such a treat! First Class all the way!! Not much like the last trip to China when Megan joined our family. Our hotel is wonderful ,and we are looking forward to a day of touring tomorrow.

We must get some rest, but we promise to post more photos tomorrow.

Lots of Love from Sue, Sandy, & Megan

Note to Emily:

Love,
