Ni Hao
What a day! Terry, Cindy, and I went out and shopping at the local shops and had a blast, but boy, is it hot here! We got pampers and formula for the babies. We found a shop next door to the hotel to do our laundry called Tiffanie's. It looks like about 14.00 for a load. We ate breakfast at the hotel--eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, toast, etc., very good food. We ate lunch and had a turkey club with fries. It cost 25 US dollars. The cab drivers are crazy here is all I can say.
Today we went out walking in Nanchang City. The local people just stared at us a lot, looking at my shoes every where we went. Nikes must be something not seen here. Boy, have they really liked my hair color. We also went to their Wal-mart. Now that is crazy--our Wal-marts at home have nothing on China. The smell here is nothing like I have ever smelled before.
I am going back out tonight to get some pictures of the city lights. The hotel is very nice and the people are so kind to us. The rooms are small, but nice and clean, and nice cold air in the rooms. After a day in Nanchang you need air. The people her say they are used to it, but boy, I have never been anywhere this hot. They tell us Guangzhou is even hotter.
To my family, we miss everyone and can't wait to post Gotcha day pictures. I will not call home again 'til we have katie. We are getting Katie on the 23rd. It's finally time.
Goodnight from China.
