Hello from China,

Today we went shopping for a few things for Katie. We got dresses and some things for her when she is older. This morning we went outside in front of the hotel and watched the locals. They were bringing fresh fruits and vegetables to the market.

We also met a girl at a shop who asked me if she could come to the USA sometime and read the Bible. She told me that before she dies she wants more than money, home, health to read the Bible. That broke my heart. I told her God already knows you, and her eyes filled we tears. She said, "Does he really?" And I said, "Yes, you are his child." My time here has really opened my eyes to how lucky we really are.

In a local store today it was very hard to figure out what things were, but we did okay. We got snacks and water and chips. We saw an older lady today sweeping the streets with a broom made of tree leaves--very intersting to watch. Last night we walked around and took in the lights of the city--very pretty.

Not much longer now 'til we get Katie. We are so very excited. The beds here are so hard! I had heard they were, but I couldn't believe how hard. We had cheese pizza last night for supper, and we are having pizza again tonight. I have really enjoyed the hot tea. It is very good.

Okay, enjoy the pictures.

Good night from China...
