Hello From China

Katie is doing very well. We had paperwork to do today, and Katie got to see her nanny again and did very well. Her nanny come up to her and held her arms out to hold her, and I gave her to her. We are so very thankful for this very kind lady. After a few minutes, Katie came right back into her daddy's arms, yes, reached for him. She is a daddy's girl. Terry is over the moon in love with her; he is so very proud of her. You will see Katie nanny in pictures below. Katie and daddy are napping in bed together now side by side. He has to be as happy right now as I have ever seen him.

Last night kaite slept in bed with us, in the middle, of course. She just looked at Terry then me for the longest time, then she would just touch our faces as if she where trying to tell she loved us. I cried and cried after she fell asleep, just knowing how hard it had to be for her birth mother to leave her--we will never forget her. She is in our hearts forever.

At the Civil Affairs office today, they asked me why did I want to adopt from china, then before I could answer she said, "Do you have children?" I said, "Yes and no," and she asked me to explain, so I did. I told her, "Yes, I have a son, Dylan, but he passed away." Then I cried, and she said, "I am so sorry." Katie's nanny was there in the room with Terry and Katie and me, so I answered as best as I could to tell why I came to China. She looked at me and said, "Katie is so very lucky, and I said, "No, I am the lucky one." Then the nanny must have asked why I was crying, and the lady most have told her about Dylan. She came over to me and spoke, although I could not understand, my heart did. Terry asked the lady what she was saying, and she said, "Please come back to China. You will be a very good mother." She kissed my cheek and forehead, then she held my hand, and again I had no ideal what she was saying but my heart did, and she ask Terry and me to bring Katie back to Yingtan so she could see her again, and yes, we promised to bring Katie back to see her nanny. We go Saturday to visit her and the orphange, and I am looking very forward to that. She gave me Katie's birth letter from her mother, and they told me what it said. It broke my heart, but that is for Katie when she gets older.

Enjoy the pictures.

Goodnight from China,
Lisa, Terry & Katie
