Ni Hao from Chongqing,

Today we left our hotel in Beijing at 5:00am, said goodbye to our guide Helen at the airport, and took a 2.5 hour plane ride to Chongqing. Savannah was born and found in Chongqing and was transferred to the orphanage on Qianjiang, where she has been for the last 9 months. But tomorrow she will have a new home with us, Yippee!!! We arrived in Chongqing around 11:00am and met our guides Marie and Anita, and they took us to the Golden Resources Hotel where we will stay until the 23rd. This is one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed at. We are on the 29th floor and have a great view of the city. We are within walking distance of about any kind of store you can think of, and there is an underground mall five times bigger than the Huntington mall underneath our hotel. It is called the Sleepless Underground City or Little Las Vegas. There is not a lot more to write about tonight, but there will be plenty to write about tomorrow. We will finally, after waiting for 3 years, get to hold our Savannah. She along with 4 other babies from her orphanage will travel by bus around 6 hours to our hotel. We will get to finally get to meet her around 2:00pm. Boy, the anxiety is starting to show. We are going to try to get some sleep, but it probably won't be much. Well, that is all for now; here are a few pictures from today. Stay tuned in until tomorrow!!!!

Countdown to Savannah: 1 day!!!!!
