Gotcha Day!

First of all, either scroll down and look at the pictures or watch the short video or both.

Now that you're back, what a day this has been! We woke up about 6:30am, got ready, and went to breakfast at the hotel. Melinda and Haleigh went back to the room while I and 1 member from each family went to the bank with Anita, our guide. The trip to the bank was to exchange the American Dollar into Chinese RMB. Around 12:00pm, Melinda was nervous and needed to go for a walk. We went to the underground city to a grocery store and bought a stroller. By the time we got back to our room, it was time to meet in the conference room. We met at 1:00 to fill out some paperwork, and during the end of the meeting the phone calls started coming in that the babies were starting to arrive at the hotel. There were 10 babies from 5 different orphanages. The first of the babies arrived at the hotel around 2:15pm. Savannah had traveled by train for about 5-6 hours and arrived around 3:30. The wait was a killer, but getting to see our new friends we had made get their babies made the time go by pretty fast. After about 1/2 hour, we went back to our rooms to spend some time with our babies. Haleigh had a lot of fun with her new mei mei (little sister). A doctor made rounds to check each baby, and we found out Savannah has a bad cold and needs some antibiotics and cold medicine. Savannah is taking a nap as we write this. Tomorrow we have more paperwork to do in the afternoon. We will hopefully get some rest in the evening.

Enjoy the pictures and video, and we will post more tomorrow.

p.s. Jordan & Tannor, Can't wait for you to meet your new mei mei. We love and miss you. Talk to you real soon.
