Today was a great day. Savannah is either getting used to her new Mama and Baba, or she just had a good day. Either way, we'll take it. There wasn't a lot to do today. It was a free day. Usually the people who come to Chongqing are here only 6 days. We will have been here 8 due to the Chinese Holiday, so our guide Marie didn't have anything planned for us today. This allowed us more time to spend with the other parents and their babies. A few of us met on the 30th floor where there is a lot of space for the babies to crawl and play. Haleigh has a new friend; her name is Jada. Her parents, John and Cheryl, are from West Virginia, also. Wow, what a coincidence! We plan to keep in contact so our daughters will know each other and will be able to see each other from time to time.
The only other thing that we did today was walk around the underground city and ate at the Japanese restaurant again. Haleigh just loves that place. She likes watching the chef prepare our meals, and the food was excellent.
Well, only 1 more day in Chongqing. We leave Tuesday for Guangzhou to complete the U.S. side of the adoption and make her a U.S. citizen. We will be there 4 days before we take the looooong flight home to the good old USA. Here are a few pictures of Savannah, and 1 of her friend Jada.
Jordan and Tannor: Still missing you guys. We hope you are feeling better. We love you!
