Nihao from Guangzhou,

This morning we finished packing and headed to the lobby to check out. We took the bus to the Chongqing international airport, said goodbye to Marie and Anita, and boarded our flight to Guangzhou. The flight was a little bumpy, I'm guessing due to the typhoon getting ready to hit around Hong Kong. Guangzhou is not all that far from Hong Kong, and we are starting to feel the winds pick up after we landed. Savannah did fine for her first flight. The only trouble we had was that she filled her diaper about 20 minutes before we landed, and we weren't able to change her till the plane landed. Boy, was that a long 20 minutes.

Once we landed, changed Savannah, and got our luggage, we met our guides for the next 4 days. They are Jocelyn and Kathy. We arrived at the White Swan hotel around 5:00pm and checked into our rooms. The rooms are smaller, but the air conditioner works better, so I'll take a smaller cooler room any day. Once settled in we walked to a well known restaurant called Lucy's. They have a western menu, and we ordered a thick juicy burger and fries. You just don't know how much you like burgers until you haven't had any for almost 2 weeks. We did a little shopping after dinner and then took Savannah to the Play room. It was a very nice room with lots of toys for kids of all ages. On the way back to the room, we met one of the other couples and they were talking about the pools, so we decided to take Haleigh swimming for a little while. There are two pools, but it was too dark to get any good pictures, so you will have to wait until tomorrow to see them.

Well, that's about all for today. It's 11:30pm here, and we have to be up early to take Savannah for her check up and physical. Will write again tomorrow. Until then...

Jordan & Tannor: Hang in there, it's almost over. We love you. See you Saturday
