10 February 2009 G'Day from Shanghai!!! WE'RE IN CHINA!!! It was a rather uneventful day, starting at 5am! We got to the airport at 530am. Then had breakfast with my Mum, Mikayla and Harrison. We met Trudi & Kim, our fellow batch mates, and boarded our 745am flight to Melbourne. Our next plane was delayed an hour, and we boarded our 10.5 hour flight to Shangahi, at 1pm. We FINALLY arrived in Shanghai at about 930pm. Once we cleared customs, we flagged down a mini van taxi and went to our Holiday Inn Express Jinqiao. Great hotel. Cheap, only about 20 mins from Pudong airport, brand new furnishings in the room, funky bathroom, clean, and breakfast included! You know when they say, "hard beds" in China... I don't think anything prepares you for the "plank" you lay on!!! Was a great "stop over" hotel, if you're looking for one!!!
