11 February 2009 I woke up at 5am, but lay there til just before 7, when I could take the hard bed, no more!!! Had a shower, got dressed, packed bag, and was ready for breakfast at about 720am!!! We met Trudi and Kim for breakfast, which consisted of a full Chinese breakfast buffet...interesting! Was a bit weird eating fried noodles, bok choy, steamed rice and steamed buns (filled with custard) for breakfast!!! Got another mini van to the Hongqiao airport and flew out to Guangzhou at 12 noon. Arrived after a 2 hr flight. WE'RE IN GUANGZHOU!!! Oh.my.goodness! We 're in the same province as our daughter!!! Our guide met us at the airport and took us to the Guangdong Victory Hotel. Gorgeous Hotel. We are in the "new building", but one of the families in our batch is in the old building, which has been made into suites - looks fantastic too! We'd been at the hotel for 20 mins when we had to meet our guide downstairs to go to the bank. The bank was great, very easy to deal with. We met the rest of our batch (3 other families) at Lucy's Diner for dinner. I had a chicken enchilada which was very yummy! By 8pm, I was knackered, and very ready for bed! So...here we are...our last night as a family of four. About 16 hours before we will have our daughter in our arms. So surreal.         This page hosted by
